Insect Specimens, Taxidermy & Bones Info

What i do support via sourcing

  •  - Donations of pets after they pass away
  • - Culling of invasive & pest species when needed
  • - hunting and fishing for food (human or pet)
  • - Farming, Self Sufficient meat production & by products from meat production
  • - I will also reuse vintage displays that need repairs- 2nd hand items that people no longer want2nd hand items include items NOT purchased from a business but from people who are moving on items from their collections, in this case i am not funding harmful methods of the curio/taxidermy world and am instead putting new life into something that was so harmfully taken from this world, i still believe they deserve a good home and for someone to cherish them.

These are suitable responsible and sustainable resources for obtaining animal specimens for taxidermy / Curios, No animals are ever harmed for the purpose of preservation or artwork.

Pest animals cause major damage both to our native species and environment and while i wish that every animal could live a happy peaceful life that is not always an option especially when some cause so much harm.

I obtain curios, bones & taxidermy pieces via a variety of people who support the same sustainable and responsible methods while also collecting them myself via unfortunate road deaths and local farmers who allow me access to their land.

Our insects come from responsible and sustainable sources across the globe, where practices protect both the species, their habitats and protect local workers. You’re not only acquiring a unique piece of natural art, you’re also contributing to a variety of supportive programs.

Conservation farms employ local farmers who maintain native plant species and natural environments, ensuring a healthy food source for caterpillars and preventing habitat loss from logging or agricultural clearing. As a result, butterflies raised in these farms have a remarkable survival rate of up to 95% from egg to adult, compared to just 5% in the wild.

In addition to supporting global conservation, I proudly donate to local initiatives such as wildlife care, animal rehabilitation programs, rescues and mental health support

often, i will have products that a % of the cost will directly be donated to some programs & ill be sure to include a note in your order to let you know exactly where it went!

It's important to note that I do not participate in bat taxidermy, and I encourage everyone to conduct thorough research before obtaining bat specimens.

***Bat Taxidermy***

Bat taxidermy is extremely unethical due to itscontribution to the endangerment and extinction of certain bat species.Bats play a crucial role in ecosystems as pollinators, pest controllers, and seed dispersers, contributing to the balance and health of variousecosystems. Engaging in taxidermy for bats can have detrimentalconsequences for their populations. Firstly, the process of capturingbats for taxidermy can disrupt their natural habitats and breedinggrounds, leading to a decline in their numbers. Additionally, somespecies of bats are already facing threats from habitat loss, climatechange, and disease, making them more vulnerable to population declines. The demand for bat taxidermy further exacerbates these issues, as itcan stimulate illegal hunting and trade, especially if rare orendangered species are targeted. As a result, the practice of battaxidermy contributes to the depletion of bat populations, pushing somespecies to the brink of extinction. Conservation efforts and ethicalpractices are essential to safeguard bat populations and maintain thedelicate balance of ecosystems they help sustain.

Q: Insect Specimen Quality?

Since our specimens are from nature, they might not be perfect. Some may have missing antennae, chipped wings, or other little flaws.
